New York City, also known as The Big Apple, The City That Never Sleeps and The Home of the Super Heroes is one of the biggest and most notable cities in the United States of America. Capital of the New York state, and home to notable country sights like the Statue of Liberty, few locations capture the spirit and culture of America quite like New York does.
New York City is the base of operations for a startlingly large population of Meta-Human activity- the Avengers Tower is located here, as is the Baxter Building of the Fantastic Four and the legendary Sanctum Sanctorum of the Sorcerer Supreme. Numerous street level heroes like Spider-Man, Daredevil, The Punisher and the Heroes for Hire make their homes in New York as well. As a result, a large number of Meta-Human crime and world-threatening events are faced or confronted in New York.
